Hip? Who talks like that?
According to Wikipedia, a content management system (CMS) is “a computer software system for organizing and facilitating collaborative creation of documents and other content.”
Streetcar was born from the desire to be able to manage website data, both static and dynamic, easily. A CMS allows you you better manage the elements (which Streetcar calls ‘Nodes’) of a web site or company intranet. This includes images, documents, and other media. Streetcar is being designed to allow new node types to be introduced by contributors. Example node types include a blog (with a post as a node within the blog), a bug tracker (with tickets as a node within the tracker), or a photo gallery.
Streetcar is not yet ready for download. Keep an eye out on my blog for updates.
